Meet The Herd – Rescues & Sanctuary Animals
From abuse, neglect, medical issues or the passing of an owner, each and every member of our Herd has a unique backstory to share. Everyone below will live the rest of their lives with T.E.X.A.S. Rescue as sanctuary animals.
This does not mean the easy work is finished. Depending on the baggage they bring with them, some of our animals require regular veterinary care, medication, extra supplements and more. T.E.X.A.S. Rescue has no problem dedicating the hours and energy it takes to care for these conditions, but we won't turn down support from those who wish to help financially.

Meet The Herd – Band Of Burros
T.E.X.A.S. Rescue is heading up a rescue of massive proportions, right here in The Great State of Texas! We were asked by the good folks in Fort Davis, at the Davis Mountain Resort, to help with the capture and relocation of some of their area’s wild burro population. After extensive planning throughout 2024, we are embarking on a rescue project of approximately 200 of these wild, beautiful creatures!
